5. Xyna Konferenz
10.11.2010 at the Kurhaus, Wiesbaden
The 5th Xyna Conference is thematically a direct continuation of the last two conferences, which were themed "Future Internet" (2008) and "Smart Communications" (2009).
Dr. Bernd Reifenhäuser on the topics for 2010:
- Where do we stand in the unification of radio and fixed network on the basis of an all-IP network?
- What tasks have to be mastered?
- Which innovative services can be realized on an all-IP network?
- What are the challenges of the future?
In accordance with these questions, the speakers were selected by Dr. Bernd Reifenhäuser and asked to speak on these topics. At the same time, the "small anniversary" provides an opportunity to look back on the last few years and reflect on how certain topics have developed and been classified.
The 5th Xyna Conference of the GIP Research Institute on November 10, 2010 was a great success. The participants from telecommunications and IT experienced exciting and interesting contributions as well as extensive discussions during breaks and the evening event.

3. Xyna Konferenz
25.11.2008 at the Kurhaus, Wiesbaden
The close connection and constant integration of research, future and practice once again distinguished the Xyna conference and created a unique atmosphere to take a look into the future of telecommunications.
Managing Service Complexity
Around this complex of topics the 3rd Xyna Conference of the GIP Research Institute took place on November 25, 2008.
The architecture and technical foundations of the Internet are over 30 years old. Research initiatives in the USA and in Europe are already dealing with the questions and the conception of a Future Internet. This is because not only the current sharp increase in traffic, but also the medium-term energy problem and the efficient use of resources are placing new demands on the network of the future. The Internet must and will change.
This will entail a far-reaching restructuring and reorganization of the OSS landscapes of network operators and providers, which is why Dr. Reifenhäuser chose this topic for the 3rd Xyna Conference.
The main sponsor of the conference this year was again Oracle, on whose infrastructure the "red edition" of Xyna Service Factory is based. The support of the conference reflects the successful and close partnership between Oracle and GIP.
